The California Dyslexia Guidelines, mandated with the passage of AB 1369, were published in August 2019, just as the school year began. On Saturday, April 6, IDA NorCal and Parents Helping Parents (PHP) are offering a morning workshop for parents and teachers to learn more about these guidelines and what steps they can take right now to better advocate for and support their students. The workshop will explain details about the law and provide practical strategies and tools for home and classroom.

Speakers:

John Santonastaso, Slingerland teacher in 1st grade classroom, Fremont School District
