As we spring forward this season, NCBIDA welcomes opportunities to advance dyslexia awareness and education. All are described in the stories below, along with details on how to participate. On May 7 we will be sponsoring a local run/walk in SF as a fundraiser in conjunction with IDA’s Team Quest. Please consider joining the group that day, sponsoring a runner, or pledging a donation. This is a fun event that helps support IDA’s efforts locally and nationally.
This spring also brings the culmination of the AB 1369 work group created to guide the formation of dyslexia guidelines for public school education. Please see the wrap-up story in this issue for a status report on their work.
Looking forward to summer, now is the time to sign up for teacher-training workshops and programs. NCBIDA is pleased to be providing partial scholarship support for some of these programs.
