As with all beginnings, the start of 2018 brings resolutions and renewed energy. IDA NorCal is pleased to kick off the new year with our Annual Member’s Meeting and Brunch, where we celebrate individuals who have greatly contributed to the field of dyslexia. Dr. Fumiko Hoeft and Dr. Kathy Futterman are our 2018 honorees. These two women have elevated our knowledge of and support for dyslexia through research and teaching. At our brunch meeting, we will also discuss upcoming IDA NorCal plans and introduce our slate of prospective IDA NorCal board members and officers. Later in the year, we will co-host a Making Math Real workshop, sponsor an AB 1369 information workshop, and offer Experience Dyslexia® simulations. Join us as we resolve to further develop dyslexia awareness and literacy skills for all.
