President’s Message

CarrThe start of a new year brings anticipation and resolutions for change and growth. I invite all NCBIDA members to attend our Annual Brunch and Membership Meeting on Saturday morning, January 28, in San Francisco to learn of NCBIDA’s goals and plans in 2017. (To RSVP, please email norcal@dyslexiaida.org). Our new website has been rolled out with links to articles, events, and websites to engage your interest. Also, updates to our Experience Dyslexia® simulation will be available this year. The simulation continues to be an excellent way to educate people on the academic experiences of a dyslexic student. The 2017 calendar is full of exciting events with speakers, seminars, and training workshops to enhance your knowledge. Now is the time to act on your resolution and become actively engaged in NCBIDA! Speaking of active engagement, thanks to the volunteers and board members who make our work possible. We will vote on new additions to our board of directors at our annual meeting. We also want to thank our retiring board members, Mitch Neuger and Jessica Corrine, who have ably served our organization. We deeply appreciate their commitment of time and energy.

Happy New Year,
Cawley Carr
