Dyslexia Network Forming in Santa Cruz

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

Four long-term IDA members have formed a new dyslexia network in Santa Cruz County called Structured Literacy Now. Its mission is to promote Structured Literacy approaches and early screening in public schools for all students. The group’s initial goal is to raise awareness and understanding of dyslexia in the county through the use of simulations and trainings for parents, teachers (general and SPED), and administrators. Those interested in joining or supporting this effort can contact Lorette Keane.

Structured Literacy Now will offer two Experience Dyslexia® workshops this month: February 13, 6:30 pm in Scotts Valley, UCSC Center, 100 Enterprise Way, Rm. 1101, and February 27, 6:30pm in Aptos, Community Foundation, 7807 Soquel Drive. Please RSVP if you are attending.
